I am pleased to provide this letter of reference for Mr. Tamir Huberman, who until recently served as Chief Information Officer and Head of Marketing at Yeda Research & Development Co. Ltd., the technology transfer company of the Weizmann Institute of Science.
I worked closely with Mr. Huberman during my tenure as Vice President for Innovation and Technology Transfer at the Weizmann Institute and as Chair of the Board of Directors of Yeda (2019-2025). In these capacities, I had the opportunity to observe his exceptional professionalism, motivation, and strategic mindset, as well as his ability to translate his vision into effective execution.
Mr. Huberman played a central role in the digital transformation of Yeda. He led the design and implementation of advanced digital, automation, and marketing infrastructures that significantly modernized the organization and positioned it at the forefront of technology transfer operations in Israel. Among his many achievements, he spearheaded the deployment of the ZOHO CRM platform, which has since become a leading solution adopted by multiple technology transfer organizations nationwide. He also initiated and delivered critical platforms such as the Researchers Portal, the Invention Disclosure Portal, and full synchronization between Yeda’s public-facing website and its internal operational systems.
Beyond internal systems, Mr. Huberman made a substantial impact on Yeda’s external visibility and outreach. Through thoughtful strategy and sophisticated automation techniques, he grew Yeda’s LinkedIn community to nearly 30,000 followers worldwide, significantly expanding the global exposure of Weizmann Institute research and innovation. His efforts strengthened Yeda’s engagement with industry partners, investors, and the broader innovation ecosystem.
Mr. Huberman is also an effective communicator and educator. He delivered lectures at the Weizmann Institute on social media, artificial intelligence, and innovation, and actively promoted the adoption of advanced AI tools across research, marketing, and technology transfer activities. His forward-looking approach and deep belief in the transformative potential of AI and automation were instrumental in preparing Yeda for the future of innovation-driven organizations.
On a personal level, I greatly enjoyed working with Mr. Huberman. He is highly collaborative, reliable, and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine commitment to supporting excellent science and connecting it to meaningful real-world impact.
